Christian– I went to apply for a zip line guide position, and Coyote was behind the desk and took my application. We were both giving each other eyes, but I had to leave to apply for other jobs. Coyote then took my name off my resume and looked me up on Instagram, and we started DMing. I soon after asked him out on our first date.

I love Coyote’s eyes. They sparkle like sapphires.
Tell us your favorite thing about one another.
I love the work Christian is willing to do for me as a partner. Christian may initially have a tough exterior, but he wears his heart on his sleeve to me. I’m always able to tell how Christian feels just by looking at him. His openness and vulnerability is such a beautiful thing because it allows me to feel and follow with him.
Tell us more about your relationship dynamic and how that’s been accepted by others.
All of our friends have been incredibly supportive and excited to see Coyote and I be affectionate with each other. To both of our surprise, Coyote’s mom has been very supportive.
What is been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome together?
Christian– I already had a monogamist partner when I met Coyote. Coyote and I had tried off and on, but every time, it felt like I was cheating on my partner even though she encouraged me to pursue him (I’m more of the monogamist one). Now, Coyote and my primary partner are good friends who support and encourage me in both of my relationships. It’s a V-shaped relationship, and that feels really good to all of us!
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Coyote and I are at the beginning of a wonderful relationship, and I have to partly thank Christina (The photographer and my partner) for creating such a safe and welcoming space to explore at my own pace. I also have to thank Coyote for the safe space he has created for me to explore with him, being as he is my first male partner. Also, I love that he and Christina are like best friends.
